全称邻苯二甲酸酐，白色针状晶体或鳞片状晶体。比重1.527（4℃）；熔点131.2℃；非典295℃，易升华，稍溶于冷水，易溶于热水病水解为邻苯二甲酸。溶于乙醇、苯和吡啶，微溶于乙醚。应用于制染料、药物、聚酯树脂、醇酸树脂、塑料增塑剂和条论等。
