TiB2材料即有陶瓷材料的高硬度、高强度、高熔点等特性，又有金属材料的高导电、高导热等优点，是一种极有开发价值和应用前景的材料。在耐磨部件、军工材料、切削刀具、研磨材料等领域更具有广泛的应用价值。
产品特性及应用
●TiB2可做保护镀层，或作为钨、钼、钽等高温金属材料替代物。
●可承受极热和极苛刻的工作条件，不会被浓盐酸和硫酸所腐蚀，能抵制熔融金属的侵蚀，因此可作为极佳的电极材料。
●是一种性能良好的结构陶瓷材料，硬度仅次于金刚石、立方氮化硼和碳化硼，比氧化硼、氮化硅等陶瓷的硬度高，同时具有优良的弯曲强度和断裂韧性。是一种极具开发前景的结构材料。
●作为耐磨结构材料，可用于金属挤压模、拉丝模、喷砂嘴、密封元件、金属切削工具等。
●是一种极好的功能陶瓷材料，可作为一种新的发热体加以利用。TiB2发热体相对于传统的SiC或MoSi2发热体而言，其效果更佳，使用温度可达1800℃以上，并适用于氧化和还原气氛。
●二硼化钛是典型的半导体材料，TiB2的半导体性能也用于做PTC材料，通过掺杂改性，还可制成不同使用条件下的PTC材料。
●应用于铝工业的阴极电解槽涂层，可以延长电解槽寿命，减少损耗、提高效率，极大的节约能耗，为铝工业生产带来巨大的经济效益。
