性 质 无色透明立方结晶或白色颗粒粉末。相对密度1.64。熔点93.5℃，无臭、味涩。
微溶于水，20℃时溶解度15g/100ml水，易溶于热水，水溶液呈酸性。溶于稀酸、甘油，不溶于醇。在120℃时失去10个结晶水，加热到200℃变成无水（枯矾），280℃则分解。
用 途 用于净水,电镀,造纸,鞣革,医药,印染,食品等工业;也用于制泡沫灭火剂
