糠醇是呋喃族杂环化合物的一员，又名氧茂甲醇、呋喃甲醇。无色至浅黄色透明液体暴露于空气和日光中会变成棕色或深红色，有特殊的苦辣滋味，溶于水、乙醇、乙醚等。 用途：糠醇主要用于制造铸造工业，防腐涂料等方面的树脂，也用作溶剂、稀释剂、以及医药行业，有机合成工业的原料。
